Police are looking for three armed thieves in a dramatic robbery at the Dollar General in Holly Hill.
The robbers all wore hooded jackets and walked into the store at Sixth Street and Ridgewood Avenue before 10 p.m. Sunday, police said. They demanded that the two employees lie down on the floor. One of the suspects pressed his gun to the head of one of the women.
Two of the robbers then tried to open the store safe and when they couldn't, they threatened the employees, police said. One of the clerks said she could open the safe if she were allowed to get up. When she couldn't open the safe immediately, the robbers accused her of trying to lock it, police said.
She got the safe open, then one of the men began grabbing cash. The suspects then ordered the employees to open three registers in the store, one of the men pressing his weapon against the same woman's head and saying, "If we get what we want, I won't kill you," police said.
After the robbers grabbed all the cash from the registers, they told the women to stay on the ground, and then left. Witnesses told police they saw the trio head east and get into a car driven by a fourth person.
Surveillance video captured all three entering the store, police said, and it's possible the men could be linked to another armed robbery at a Dollar General in South Daytona a few weeks ago.
Anyone with information is asked to call Holly Hill police, 386-248-9475.

1/3/11

So, this is my first blog since like the first day of school. Maybe not the first day of school but in a long time. I am personally happy that we actually we actually happy that we have a blog and makes it 10 times better that it is a topic of our choice. I honestly think that we haven't had a blog in weeks for the simple fact that Alves just didn't want to grade the things. He was way too lazy towards the end of the semester that we was just didn't want to do it so, he gave us a project instead. A project in which I did amazing on, but the man gave me a grade that would have me barely make an A in the class. You might be asking yourself, Alves would not do such a thing like that. But let me tell you, it is true. He really does do things like that. He is one of those teachers that like to see your fail and finds it humorus. I don't know about you but that is not how things should be with the teachers and their students.

So over break we went to Kobe for my birthday. By we, I mean my friends and I. It was a grand time and Sean, Danny, Justin, and I became apart of a very exclusive club that night. The CPC. By CPC I mean the "Clean Plate Club." We cleaned our plates of all food. That is quite the accomplishment that a fine establishment such as Kobe Steakhouse. The four of us ordered the steak, chicken, and shrimp and it was outstanding. You might be telling yourself that it is not a big deal, well if you saw the amount of food that they put on your plate, you would be very proud of the four of us. The first one to finish was Justin. He was like a monster. After he showed everyone that he cleaned the plate I told him to lick it and guess what, he did. He licked that thing from top to bottom. Next, Sean fisinshed his plate andt then Dan and then I. But you see, I may have finsished last but I had a system. I waited til the guy was done cooking and then I started eating once everything was on my plate. However, the others ate once they got an item on the plate. So you see, we all took different ways in the whole operation.

We had a holiday during that break. A little holiday that you might have heard of called Christmas. By far, the best holiday ever. I got a lot of things with the standout present of the year being a car. Thats right, I got a car. It is a Dodge Durango that is the color of my skin....black. I also got clothes, Madden 11 and COD Black Ops for PS3, cash, a new Red Sox hat, a new Johhny Cupcakes iPhone. It was a great Christmas and this break was the best one that I have had yet in my school carreer. I went out everyday and basically only home to sleep. There was not one day that I just sat at home and did nothing. I was always doing something weather it was hanging out with friends or going to the mall with my mom. Whatever day it was, I wasnt home. Crazy stuff...I know. I was off the chain with all the things thatI did over the break. I would tell you everything but there are a few things that are going to prevent me from telling you. They are as follows, (1) it would take up way too much space and you would be reading it forever. (2) I really don't feel like writing anymore than I have to. I know that I have exceeded the minimum word count so......

That is it for this blog. Maybe I will have one by the last day of school who knows. It all depends if Alves wants to grade something for once in his life.

11/22/10

Finally, we get another blog topic of our choice. I know you all have been complaining about why I haven't been wirting about random things andit is not my fault. I am truly sorry. It is my teachers fault. If you would like to contact him about the situation you can email the man. You can find his email address on the Volusia County Schools website. So that is why I have been writing about things in our text book that you guys don't even know about. I know that you guys go on here wanting to read all the lastest news and gossip at Pine Ridge but then you get on and you see that that it is about photoshop, and I'm quoting pages and you guys don't see what I am talking about. Trust me, I know how mad you can get and I really do try to make it the best it can be and my usual blog, but to be totally honest with you guys, it is not that easy. I try talking to the big man and he just says some vulgar things to me and then beats me. Then I try and tell him that I am going to tell TR and he acts as if TR means nothing to him. So I am in a pickle. I need help with that. He does all that because I tell him that the blog topics are stupid and we need to be able to write about whatever we want. So please, feel free to email me with you advice on what I should do. Because you guys are the ones that keep this blog up and running and without you guys I would probably be just out on the street doing hardcore drugs or something. So I thank you guys for that.

Now, this week we only go to school for two days. We are here for Monday and Tuesday and then we have the rest of the week off for Thanksgiving. I love that day. It is my second favorite holiday. As we all know, Christmas is my favorite mostly because my birthday is the day before. But anyway. For some odd reason, I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year and no matter how hard I seach deep inside my soul, I just cant find the reason that I feel this way. I have been getting more and more excited every year for the holiday. I think it is because I am getting older? I honestly don't know. If I did know, I would tell you guys but I don't know. I mean, you are the ones that keep me going. Without you guys, I would probably be on the streets doing hardcore drugs. I am so thankful for you guys and please keep reading and sending me emails on what you think or just a little "thinking of you email." If you think you know why I am feeling this way about Thanksgiving every year, go ahead and hit up my email and I will get back to you. Or you guys can just tweet me and I'll let you know about everything.

So, this weekend was pretty good. I made that gwap Friday night. Only I haven't got paid yet but hopefully that comes soon. Friday was a pretty good night at work. I worked hard and I am going to have to say, I am the glue that keeps that plave together. I am the second hardest worker there and they all know that. Then Saturday, I was to Islands of Adventure with my good friend Sean Doran. My good friend Justin Slaven was invited but he was gardening or something like that so I don't know what his problem was. I like called him and I asked if he wanted to come. He was like I would but I'm in the mood for gardening. I was shocked. "Why is he gardening?" I asked myself. Oh, well, his loss. He could have been riding Cat in the Hat with us but NO, he was gardening. Crazy stuff I know. Some friend he is. He chooses gardening over me. But that is what I have you guys for. Without you guys I would probably be on the streets doing hardcore drugs. You are the ones that keep this blog going and without you guys, I dont know where I would be. I love you guys and couldn't have done this all without you.

So basically, I got a lot of comments from my readers about the controversial topic of my favorite action figure. As you know, I wrote that I prefer blow up dolls. I just want you all to know that I did not intend for the people reading the answer to that question think that I was doing inappropriate things with the blow up dolls. Most of you thought that is what I was going for but that was not. I give you my sincere apology to everyone that thought those dirty thoughts. Even though it is partially your fault for having your mind go in that directions. But for this time, and this time only, I will take full responsibility for my actions. I should have made it clearer and easier for you people to pick out what I meant. I hope that you all understand and accept my apology even though you guys owe me and apology also for thinking that I would write about an R-rated subject in a G-rated area. Come on guys, you know me better than that. But like I said, I am taking full responsibility for this one and I hope you all understand.

Moving on to bigger better things, I am happy to announce that I had a great weekend. Just all in all it was great. The weekend started off with a bang Friday night when I went to work and made what gwap. It was a long night and I sort of had contact problems for the second week in a row, but I made it through the night and did my job. But Friday was the best day of the weekend considering the fact that the New York Yankees lost to the Texas Rangers which therefore eliminated the Yankees from the playoffs and sent the Rangers to the World Series. The next day was Saturday. That was also a pretty good day. It was incomparable to Friday considering the Yankees lose, but it was a great day. I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch and that was outstanding. I enjoyed it a lot. But that was the second time I was there in 2 weeks, so I think I’m going to take some time off from there. Sunday was also a very good day. It was football day and the Patriots won. Now they are pretty much the best team in the NFL.

Today, I have went through the whole day with one contact and let me tell you, it was pretty rough. I am going around closing my left eye so that I can see and people are looking at me like I am some retard. I don’t like when people look at me like I am some retard. It makes me feel bad about myself. The bad news is that my contacts won’t be in until next week which means I am going to be like this for a week. Hopefully I can make it through. It is going to be tough but I think that I can do it. If not, I just might have to drop out of school and wind up working at the post office. That is something that no one wants to do in their lifetime. Such a boring job. But anyway, the contact situation is pretty bad. Just now while writing this blog, one eye has been closed the whole time and I can barely see. Everyone that sits in the row in front of me is like, “what is this kid doing?’ But it will all get better soon.

Thank you!

10/18/10

Basically, this weekend I saw Jackass 3D in theaters. What an outstanding movie. In my opinion, it has to be one the best movies I have ever saw in my entire life. It was way better than Jackass 1 or Jackass 2. it was very inappropriate and I almost threw up at some points. So basically, I recommend this movie for everyone, Even for Alves's 9 year old son. Alves says,"he doesn't know what that it. He is 9." But if you watch TV and see previews for the movie than you are going to see it and want to see it. Alves was supposed to take us but he was being a mega loser and wouldn't. I asked him to take me to the midnight showing and he was being a super duper lame-o about it so I just waited til Saturday. And it was very much worth the wait. I would tell some parts of the movie on here but if I did I would probably be ban from blogger and expelled from school. So go see it for yourself.

Sunday was a good day. It was football day. The Patriots played the Ravens and what a game that was. It marked the return of a former Superbowl MVP in Deion Branch back to New England. What a game he had. That game could have been the longest game that I have ever watched in my life. The Pats won in overtime 23-20 but were losing the whole game and at one point it looked like they had no chance of coming back. But somehow their defense stepped it up and the offense picked it up and they ended up winning. I was in shock to tell you the truth. It was great though and I would have been very mad if they would have lost considering it would have put the Jets back in first place by a game. We wouldn't have that problem if they didn't beat us in week 2. Jets suck anyway so it doesn't matter.

Nothing else really to report. So now I will be answering some fan mail that I have recieved over the months:

Q: Is Aaron Alves really your favorite teacher?
A: You know, he is a great guy and everything. But sometimes he can be a little boring and ticked off. So saying that, he isn't my favorite teacher. Maybe if he was a little more perky, than he might make the cut. But he is a close second.

Q; What is your favorite action figure?
A: I don't really have a favorite action figure per say. But the one thing that I do like are blow up dolls. They are just outstanding. It is like they take the place of a real person and they keep you company. Say that you are just at home alone. Take the old blow up doll out of the closet and talk to it like it is you closest friend. They are a great way to not feel like a loner.

Q: Who is your role model?
A: This is a tough one. There are just so many people that I look up to and I just don't know. But if I had to pick one than I suppose I would pick Lawrence Taylor. When you look at him you know he is a good guy and that is what I want people to think about me.

So there you go. There is some fan mail questions. Thank you and keep send them. I love you guys.

9/13/10

The article is about Randy Moss and his contract situation. Apprantley he is not happy and he loves playing in New England. He wants to stay in New England and play for the Patriots. He doesn't like that the Patriots are dealing with everyone else and then being left out to dry. His statements are probably on account that he did not have a touchdown and barely got the ball thrown to him on Sunday.

I chose this article because I am a Patriots fan and Randy Moss is one of my favorite players and I really hope that we keep him. He is in the last year of his contract and if he wants a job for next year, he is going to have to put up some big numbers and keep his mouth shut. I understand that he is fustrated because he is doing the best with the Patriots that he has ever done with the Radiers or Vikings but I am sure that if he puts up good numbers he will get resigned and all will be well.

I am sure that this will be interesting to others considering that fact that Randy Moss has had three really good seasons with the Patriots and any other team in the NFL would like his services. He also had a history of not keeping his mouth shut and once he signed with the Pats, he has not been talking. This is really the first incident the Patriots and Moss have had and if they don't fix that, then they could have some serious problems.

9/7/10

The article that I have chosen is about Tom Brady's contract dispute. It has been reported that the Patriots and the three time Super Bowl winning quaterback have agreed in principle on a new contract that is a three year, $58 million dollar deal. It is now being reported that there has been no deal agreed to but the two sides are moving along and are on much better terms than they were at the beginning of training camp. If the three year, $58 milion dollar deal is in fact the real deal, Brady will make 19.3 million a year beating the 16.3 million a year (which is the current highest mark a year) which is set by Brady's rival in Peyton Manning. But it is well known around the NFL and fans that Manning is also in the last year of his contract which means that the Colts are probably in talks about big money with him. Even though he has only won one Super Bowl and Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls. Even though Peyton has 4 MVP's, it is championships that count.

I chose this article because I am a fan of Tom Brady and the Patriots. I would be devestated if the Pats did not sign him and he went off to another team like the Jets, Bengals, or even the Buffalo Bills. It would be the worst thing that I could ever imagine and I would not watch football again.

This will probably be interesting to fans of the NFL and of the New England Patriots. So, unless who love the NFL or the New England Patriots or you are a fan of the best quaterback to ever play the game of football, this will probably not interest you.

There is not anything that I can think of that others should know/learn about from this article. It is just something about a quaterbacks contract talks and what the money and amount of years that will be in the contract.
